AN INTERVIEW WITH BETFAIR FORUMITE bansaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii PART 1:

TEAM SUPPORT: Rangers

HOW LONG YOU HAVE SUPPORTED FOR:
Brought up in a Rangers family, although my first game wasnt till I was 11. Home to St Mirren, Rangers a goal up at HT, went for the pies with my cousin, MASSIVE queue, ended up missing the next 3 goals.

MOST MEMORABLE GAME:

Celtic 0- Rangers 3. Rangers needed a win to clinch the title, and got it, on their arch rivals home ground. Magic stuff

BEST GOAL:
Albertz vs PSV (in Holland). Wasnt a spectacular goal, by any means, but just what it meant. After a poor start to the Champions League, went to Holland still with high spirits. 81st minute goal secured the 3pts, and a fortnight later we humped them 4-1. (You will be happy to know, a certain horse featured player was on the park for them!)

FAVE PLAYER:

Previous- Jorg Albertz. Guy was a breath of fresh air in the Scottish game. A great player, and a true gentleman. Had a fierce left foot that rivalled ANYONE in europe. (Also the scorer of my most memorable goal )

Current- Hasnt been at the club too long, however JEREMY CLEMENT looks a cracking player. Turned 22 yesterday, so still got lot to see from him. Has exactly what you would want from a midfielder, and his pace and vision are both very exciting to watch.

VIEW ON INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL:

I feel Scotland were desperately unlucky to be drawn in the Euro08 qualifing group that they were. The two world cup finalsits, Italy and France, and a last 8 qualifer- Ukraine. Also along with the usual Faroe Islands and lithuania (and into new territory with Georgia.) Under Smith, Scotland have played a hell of alot better. Their first game under him was a 2-0 loss in the San Siro, and even we got beat, its probably the best the team had played in 2 years. Although we lost at home to Belarus when we needed a win, we still beat Norway and Slovakia away, (in fact we humped the latter) and both these were good results. If things had gone better (draw wise) we could maybe have qualified. It now looks impossible!

Early next month is our first fixtures- home to Faroes and away to Lithuania. 6pts are desperately needed. Or were definitely fuked!
